Various resources & individualised education planning
Our learning programme at Biggles is based on Te Whariki, the Ministry of Education’s Early Childhood Curriculum, and our learning environment is influenced by the philosophy of Reggio Emilia, which emphasises multi-sensory learning, self-direction and expression, and relationships with other children. By the time our children transition to school, they have a firm grasp of the social and self-management skills they will need to enjoy a confident and positive start to their primary schooling. They also have core early literacy and numeracy skills, and have been introduced to some fundamental elements of the other components of the primary school curriculum – science, technology, social science, art and health and physical education.

Individual development portfolios showcase each child’s learning experiences and journey. They are also a fascinating record of these crucial foundation years in their development.
